GVC Holdings has expanded its recently launched Global Foundation directive to US shores, announcing the formation of its new ‘US Foundation’ corporate responsibility programme.

The US Foundation will lead the FTSE betting group’s North American strategy and standards for responsible gambling, corporate compliance and sports integrity disciplines.

Supporting the development of US safer gambling and compliance frameworks, GVC is set to collaborate with Seton Hall Law School (New Jersey) in establishing the ‘first US online gambling and hospitality training programme’.

The Seton Hall training directive will be further supported by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) an organisation helping military veterans with gambling addictions.

“We are excited about the opportunity presented by this collaboration with GVC Foundation to provide high-quality gaming integrity programming,” said Kathleen M. Boozang, Dean of Seton Hall Law.

Helping drive the Foundation’s mandate,  GVC has established a board of trustees, composed of Martin Lycka Director of Regulatory Affairs at GVC Holdings, US online gambling expert William J. Pascrell III, partner at Princeton Public Affairs Group and former New York Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer.

“This new US Foundation extends our Global Foundation,” said Martin Lycka. Director of Regulatory Affairs at GVC Holdings,

“The range of new initiatives and quality of partnerships express our global commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).”

Further responsibilities will see the US Foundation manage GVC’s American research, education and treatment collaborations, which have been formed with the Harvard Medical School, National Council on Problem Gaming and National Centre for Responsible Gambling.

GVC governance highlights the significance of its US Foundation, as the FTSE firm moves to accelerate its joint venture partnership with MGM Resorts, seeking to establish new venture ‘Roar Digital’ as market leader across all US digital wagering verticals.

“As the first Foundation of its kind in the US, we intend to lead the field for responsible gaming, corporate compliance and integrity,” states William J. Pascrell III, partner at Princeton Public Affairs Group.

“This is gaming giving back to its players!”
