Greater taxation on the game to increase tax revenue. The Czech Ministry of Finance is preparing to raise taxation on lotteries, online gaming and bingo, which would rise from the current 23% of revenues to 30%, while the percentage of gaming machines would remain unchanged, at 35% today. Should the Minister’s proposal be approved, it would come into force as early as next year, but the measure is broader and will also affect tobacco and alcohol.
