The 3rd Annual Cyprus Gaming Show (CGS) ended with many important ideas and a big goodbye for 2020

The 3rd Annual Cyprus Gaming Show, which attracted major players such as Megabet Plus and Parimatch, provided software vendors, payment service providers and relevant stakeholders such as BetConstruct, Digitain, ECOMMPAY, Digital Choo, Quazard Uncharted Gaming, Infocredit Group , Russian Media Group and others, the opportunity to grow in the Eastern Mediterranean gaming market.

The event was inaugurated with a warm welcome from the president, David Schollenberger, director, policy and compliance of the Cyprus National Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission. David set the stage for the next two days highlighting the main challenges and opportunities in the Cyprus market.
Presentations and a wide range of stimulating panels, followed the course of the first day of # CGS2019.
Nick Tofiluk, Managing Director of the National Gaming and Casino Supervisory Commission of Cyprus, kicked off the first presentation by discussing the strengthening of the national gambling framework in Cyprus to improve administrative cooperation between the other regulated markets.
Ioanna Fiakkou, president of the National betting authority of Cyprus, expressed favorable comments and addressed the future landscape of the Cyprus gambling industry.
Andreas Matsas, CEO of Sibilla Solutions, subsequently moderated the discussion of the interactive panel on the benefits of the ICR for the Cyprus economy, its impact on gross domestic product and the effective processes in the fight against unemployment.
The first day of # CGS2019 ended with an exclusive online cocktail party, organized and offered by Eventus International, with the aim of guaranteeing all participants the opportunity to join the network in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere to discuss highlights of the first day of Cyprus Gaming Show 2019.
On the second day, Christina Thakor-Rankin, Principal Consultant at 1710 Gaming in the United Kingdom welcomed all participants of the CGS and started her opening speech: “Generation Z – The new challenge of betting and games”.
After his initial remarks, a panel on gender diversity in the gambling sector was followed.
Later that day the implementation of the practical aspects of compliance and AML / KYC was also addressed by the keynote speakers Isobel John, Head of Regulatory Compliance and AMLRO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, and Pinelope Georgiou, Compliance Manager of Melco resorts & Entertainment.
This was followed by a round table on KYC that addressed the changes in it and what traders can practically do to get to know their customers better in order to make the industry safer, more profitable and more sustainable.
In addition to the aforementioned discussions, CGS has been filled with various practical and fruitful discussions, led by expert local and international speakers.
