Greece has sent two new draft laws on gaming to the European Commission: their period of valutation will end on July 11th
These are two draft technical regulations for the casinos: “Decision 381/2 / 28.03.2019 Draft technical provisions of the casino (ITC) ANNEX B” and “Decision 381/2 / 28.03.2019 Casino Regulations – ANNEX A” . The first project is divided into twelve chapters. Topics covered: casino gaming machines, the Progressive Jackpot, the casino gaming system information center, cashless systems, electronic gaming table systems, Terminal Redemption, the casino reward system, monitoring and control information.
The main objectives of the proposed Casino Specifications are: to guarantee continuous and reliable gaming behavior; provide full access to the CGIC to monitor, in real time, the functions it performs and the files, data and information; guarantee the back-up; the possibility of recording the connection and disconnection time of any peripheral point connected to it; the ability to diagnose and detect technical and operational problems; exclusion procedures in cases where malfunctions or tampering may occur in any part of the system; the description of the technical specifications for all computer systems, technical means and communication networks used; the description of the technical specifications for all the individual systems and the functionalities of each system; the levels of access to the classification for each system or technical means.
The second bill presented in the Commission concerns the rules for casinos. The basic innovations of the proposed rules of the Casino Regulations include: the provision of the issuance and use of a single card of a player for participation in the game conducted with electronic hardware and casino material; redesign the player exclusion process; provide a framework of Responsible Gaming and Integrated Player Protection; provide training for casino employees and operators, including responsible gaming; the redesign of the certification process for technical and material means; the creation of a central gaming information system for the casino, an internal control system and a player tracking system.
