First semi-finals: Sarri’s men draw 1-1 against Eintracht, the Gunners rejoin the Spaniards with a great Lacazette. Next week the return

Small step towards the Europa League London final. It is too early to say, but from the balance of the first semi-finals Arsenal and Chelsea find themselves with a small advantage over Valencia and Eintracht. But everything is still wide open: Sarri’s men come out of the fearsome Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt with a good draw but he does not close the accounts; the Gunners win with a Valencia 3-1 comeback but they cannot be considered safe in view of the Spanish trip, although the goal in the recovery of Aubameyang addresses the qualification.

EINTRACHT-CHELSEA 1-1 – In the infernal atmosphere of the Commerzbank-Arena the men of Sarri start with the right look, but the Eintracht soon finds the measures. And the Germans took the lead after 23 minutes with the usual Jovic, good at finding the far post with a header. The reaction of the Blues is not long in coming: Pedro, Willian and Loftus-Cheek find the door a little. The peer is in the air, Pedro thinks to bring Sarri to rest on the 1-1 thanks to the left in the corner at one step from the interval. At the start of the second half, the pace of the match slowed but Chelsea continued to dominate the area and on 60 minutes hit the crossbar with David Luiz on a free kick. The second half is all about the blues, who on the 74 ‘have a double chance and a few minutes later they become dangerous again with David Luiz. In the final he shows the Eintracht and almost the Germans do not find the coup: Da Costa jumps David Luiz and puts in the middle, Paciencia at the far post does not reach us for very little; a little later Abraham touches the lead advantage.

ARSENAL-VALENCIA 3-1 – Very high pace at the start, the first huge goal is for Valencia in the 9th minute: Moreno jumps on the offside and puts it in the middle, Garay shoots high from a step. But a few minutes pass and the host advantage arrives with Diakhaby’s header, which exceeds Cech. The Gunners are in total confusion, they also risk to suffer the second goal but at the worst moment they cling to Lacazette: the French score two goals and overturn the game. And after having seen it bad, Emery’s men start to kick football and attack in search of 3-1. The script of the second half is the same as in the first half final: Arsenal in attack, Valencia closes and tries to restart. But the Gunners do not create big assumptions to increase the advantage up to 67 ‘: still Lacazette, but this time the French is hypnotized by Neto from a few steps. The final match is balanced, but in the recovery comes the important 3-1 of the Gunners thanks to the Aubameyang volley.
