Chris Stirling, the British athlete died of a cardiac arrest

Mourning in the world of triathlon: the British Chris Stirling died at just 37 years of age. A sudden disappearance, which occurred Monday, that of Stirling, which in 2014 had won the Wasdale triathlon, one of the toughest trials in the world, and which in 2017 had hit the Celtman Extreme Scottish Triathlon and Canadaman Xtri pairing.

His wife, Jo Kilkenny, wanted to remember him like this on social media:

“This is the hardest message I’ve ever written. Yesterday, Chris suddenly left us. He was the most lovable, kind and modest man in the world, always ready to lend a hand to others. He was inspiring for everyone. I apologize to those who have not been informed personally, but there were many people who loved him. Leave time to me and his family and friends to absorb this pain and cry “.
